The landscape ranges from seaside to countryside to mountains populated by deers and boars, eagles, buzzards, foxes, hares and many other species that find their home among the many springs in the mountains. Once the timber yard of the Penal Colony, the forest is today protected by the Regional Agency Ente Foreste della Sardegna
Visitors can enjoy long walks in this mountain range, surrounded by the many scents and shades of Mediterranean greens. At the right time of the year, we can look for mushrooms, myrtle and cane apple. Between August and September the deer move down to the valley looking for food. This is their mating time, and their call can be heard in the quiet of the vegetation. Share
